  1. I’m a desert Storm era vet that has been diagnosed 50% ptsd disabled. What do you folks have in mind?

  2. as a veteran of the Vietnam Nam war, I have been dealing with PTSD since 1967. I can assure that it does not go away or get better. What happens is that you either learn to live your life around it or you die. The worst part is that it has an effect on everyone in your life. Mood swings and anti-social behavior are often met with self prescribed medications. Whether it be drink or other things they often lead to excessive use and that leads to death or thoughts of death that undermined your quality of of life. Therein lies the heart of the problem. Instead of getting better, your illness is multiplied. Love, care, and understanding from your family and loved ones is what makes it all bearable. Because of the mood swings involved in this illness, many are left alone. Fighting this thing on your own can be overbearing and leave you with a sense of hopelessness and despair. 47 years and it still hurts!!
